Art inspired by life

I‘m Simone Braun and I'm a Berlin based self-taught artist specialized in contemporary abstract acrylic painting. 

Color is my language and I use it to translate my feelings and thoughts. As an intuitive artist my paintings are always spontaneous and completely unplanned.

In the beginning the particular painting has no specific meaning. It seems to develop its own life while I paint and it is creating an own meaning by the viewer.

Most of my compositions have many layers, vibrant color combinations, thick textures and bold reliefs which give dimensions through varying mediums. 

I don’t limit myself to one style or technique. I‘m continuously experimenting with different or new mediums and tools. I have a huge collection of tools - not just brushes and palette knives - but every tool you can imagine to work with on a canvas. 

My art is often described as moving, emotional, inspirational and energetic.

Many of my paintings are named after songs  that inspired me during the painting process.

After painting for more than a decade now, I have created a large body of work and I had the honour and joy of watching my works find their new home - mostly in the US and in Europe.
